Experience

I completed a twelve week internship at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago while pursuing my undergraduate degree. I worked in Tropic World (a building mostly dedicated to the primates found in South America, Asia, and Africa) and completed a nine week research project on infant gorilla behavior. I also spent three summers working at Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Illinois rehabbing orphaned and injured animals.

Research Interest

My overall research interests include the role of hormones in the expression of paternal care. I am currently completing my masters thesis on the role of testosterone in male paternal care. I have also worked on a project that explored the role of testosterone in the expression of aggressive behavior in males. In the future I would like to focus on conservation based research.
