General principles of biology including consideration of structure, function, reproduction, genetics, and classification. Examples will be taken from the bacteria, fungi, protists and plants, with a special emphasis on the seed plants.
Prerequisite: Intended as the first course for Biology majors. Recommended: High school biology and chemistry.
