She is author of Dreamers, Scribes and Priests: Jewish Dreams in the Hellenistic and Roman Eras (Brill: 2004), as well as numerous articles in Second Temple Judaism and Religion and Film. A member of the Society of Biblical Literature, she is chair of the Religious Experience in Early Judaism and Early Christianity Consulation (2005-2008) and sits on the Steering Committee of the American Academy of Religion's Religion, Film and Visual Culture Program Unit. Current research
interests include apocalypticism, cosmologies, religious experience
in antiquity,
and monsters in ancient and contemporary religions. |
