Dr Mike King works at the intersection of art, science and the spiritual, with four degrees from British Universities across these fields. His research treats each of these disciplines as potentially an open and systematic enquiry into the deep structure of human experience, though with separate and radically different epistemologies. He has published over thirty papers and has exhibited his digital artworks in many countries including the UK, Russia, US, France, Germany and Spain.
He is University Reader in
Computer Art and Animation at London Metropolitan University and Director of
the Centre for Postsecular Studies. He is also one of the Directors of the
Scientific and Medical Network (a charity devoted to combating scientific
materialism) and on the Steering Group for the University for Spirit Forum
(which promotes spiritual learning at all levels within society).
