American Museums


In the mid 1980s I built a database by hand of American museums from large volumes containing the addresses of all the museums in the country. I made a list as I went along of odd, small museums that caught my attention. Here is a list of institutions of which you many not have heard but which reveal something of the excitement of American culture.
