bc01 Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Afghan Foreign Minister
After the defeat of the Taliban and invasion by Western forces, I photographed the arrival of foreign and Afghan officials at the Bagram
Airport. There I first met Dr. Abdullah, and when I returned to Kabul in March 2003, I went with him on a day-trip to the Panjsheer with him to the Panjsheer Valley. Our first stop out of Kabul was at a house in Jebel-as-Suraj that was once owned by Ahmad Shah Masood. This image is of Dr. Abdullah in the garden there.
