At Farah in the fall of 2003, UNOPS was funding the construction of a new school, and there were changes in the town, but around the ancient walls little had changed since my first visit in 1978. One photograph in the traveling exhibition The Afghan Folio was taken at
Farah.
In the Kandahar chapter, are
four more photographs taken on the 1978 journey, including one in which this gate is visible.
