Emma Powell was, at age seventeen, an intern at UNMACA in Kabul in the summer of 2003. She did quite a lot of work scanning and cleaning demining images, visited Bamiyan, and went along on a demining survey to the Hajigak Pass. Here are a few pieces of her work from that period and several photographs of her in Afghanistan.
