bm01 Shrine in the Morning
In the
1970s I made photographs at the Shrine to Hazarat Ali, somewhat timidly and carefully, and I shot there again in
2002 . In 2003 when I arrived again in Mazar, I found no UN operations that I could join and a holiday was coming, so I went again to visit the great mosque and was invited in to visit its religious school.
