December Commencement Ceremonies
Caps decorated with holiday lights signaled UNO's December Commencement Ceremonies held Friday, December 19 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. More than 900 students graduated at the ceremony. Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson was on hand to deliver a congressional greeting and to congratulate his daughter who received her bachelor's degree. UNO's Alumni Association honored 1954 graduate John Jeter with its Alumni Achievement Award and UNO student Janey Strobel delivered the student address to the graduates.
